This humble establishment has made its mark among the 92 million eateries opening on a weekly basis in Trinidad & Tobago. It's quite easy to get lost in the sea of mediocre grilled, bar- b-cued, wrapped, tasteless food but we at The Bill Check believe that if the food is good they will come and so they did as this joint is packed to the brim with foodies, drinkers and limers alike. At the request of our readers (repeatedly) we paid them a visit, why in the name of all that is holy did we take so long to eat here?
The trio behind the genius brings a range of expertise to the table. Chef Varma is young and passionate about the food he prepares. He expresses his love for cooking with spices, experimenting with combinations that has hooked us all. At the tender age of 27, his humble character is refreshing. When asked if he had any advice for younger ones he told us "Focus on the beauty of cooking and follow your passion". Rachel brings her knowledge of the food industry, meticulously finding the best ingredients for these works of gastronomic art. She's anything but shy when it comes to the grill, countless times you can find her toiling over the food of Manhattan Grill that has us all addicted. Harish has brought his passion for food and a dream of owning his own restaurant and with the help of his team, has translated well into a dive like no other. His dreams and passion is what lead to their famous goat burger, the brain child of Harish has become their crowning achievement. Their devotion does not go unnoticed, each has a day job and finds the time to smile and serve customers with the utmost care even at the cost of a little sleep.

8oz Premium Angus -
This is one of my favourites. With a perfect Patty bun ration it's both filling and satisfying. 80/20 beef grilled to mouth-watering perfection. The bun is slightly toasted, buttered and dusted with both light and dark sesame and poppy seeds. All burgers are slathered with their own garlic sauce acting as the glue that keep these angels together.
Stuffed Lamb Burger -
Ground lamb seasoned with their secret combination of spices stuffed with mozzarella and cooked through so the cheese oozes out with every bite. Tried to get their Secret Spice combo but no luck. Patty outweighs Bun by a long shot so stock up on the napkins to get this one down.
Stuffed Goat Burger -
Don’t be too hasty to put this one aside. Manhattan Grill has become known for this burger so I suggest you keep an open mind and give it a try. Ground Goat meat stuffed with mozzarella and seasoned with their secret blend of spices this burger hits the mark. Very similar to the stuffed Lamb Burger but with its own distinct taste. Juicy and filling this burger has great mouth feel and makes the taste buds smile.
The Toppings - The Iceberg lettuce was fresh and crisp. The tomato slice was juicy, ripe, and flavourful.
All Burger are Well Priced, you can’t beat the value for money at this burger joint.
Tips to take away –
Manhattan Grill's burgers stand apart from your run of the mill local burger joints. Patty and bun alone can ignite your taste buds without the need for lavish dressings to help them along. For all these reasons and of course the food, The Bill Check gives them as many thumbs as we can muster.
